Fitted to the sports model from 1933-36.
The carburetter fitted to the Sports Model is essentially a down-draught version of the 26VA. It uses the same principles of main and compensating jets but is mounted vertically on top of the manifold inlet pipe. The fundamental advantage of down-draught carburation lies in the fact that fuel is assisted by gravity into the cylinders, resulting in higher performance.
