Zenith 30VM-4

A down draught carburetor as fitted to the Cambridge. The idea behind the down draught design is that fuel and air are drawn down from an inlet at the top so that gravity assists the the flow of fuel and air into the engine. A new manifold was introduced with the carburetor inlet connection on the top, due to the fact that heat rises the new manifold also had to be designed to ensure good thermal separation from the inlet and outlets.
